weekend road trip

We went to Marion, VA to visit Bobby's brother. Although the circumstances were quite grim, the short time spent together was well worth the 8 hour trip each way.

the fall foliage

We spent the night in Raleigh to pick up and drop off Bobby's sister.
We met these two strange looking guys while we were there. Feline pugs or exotic short haired persians.

We also made a detour to Radford - my home for four very long years. I lived in this house with a number of other people for two years. We were so proud of our house...now the yard is overgrown, there are bizarre Christmas stockings hanging all over the front porch (in early Nov?), and the word "turds" is spraypainted over the porch. So disappointing.

Before we took off on Saturday, I made some more progress on the quilt.

Lucy - my little lemur.

Lucy is so beautiful! The sunset is amazing, hope Bobby's brother was well when you saw him.

NOOOOO!!!! It looks worse than it sounded when you described it on the phone. How sad- our beautiful little red house. Turds. I wish I had never seen that picture. :( That era passed long ago I suppose. At least it lives on in our memory in more attractive ways.
I always loved that house.
