eeeewwww- sad. have you been traipsing around in the marsh behind my house? last spring a pair of giant blackbirds were visiting our birdbath to clean their food before delivering it to their nest. they would leave behind mussels and other fruits de (brackish) mer in the bath, and also bread and other bits in the garden. one day i noticed they had a heavy load- went out to inspect, and in a panic they dropped it on the roof of our shed- a muskrat carcass. yum.

Possum opossum, how I miss you. I can't believe she's still there! I love the start of spring in Norfolk, I bet your garden is blooming away.
