walking at night

Every once in a while, I leave the comforts of my home to explore the Norfolk streets on foot. Maria lives in the historic Freemason neighborhood, and since everyone else but myself was a no-show for her craft/movie night, we decided to can the crafting and take a walk instead. Plus, the evening air was cooler outside than in her fourth floor apartment.

I love the way light reflects off the cobble stones and blankets everything in an orange hue.

All I need here is a silhouette in the upstairs window for the full Edward Hopper effect.

I would like to come back and reshoot when there's no car to disrupt the composition.

Hello, Maria.

Scenes like these remind me of why I like living near water. The sounds of ship horns, clanging sails, and lapping water aren't taken for granted.

And lastly, the jewel of downtown - the Pagoda. It's so much more magical at night.

To conclude, perhaps we should hold our next crafting session outdoors. Or maybe form an all-girl bicycle gang. Whaddya say?
