We recently repainted the nursery and added some pieces of furniture. I started the mural, but haven't had a chance to finish due to overtime hours at the office.
Still searching for a rocking chair. I haven't found anything nicely designed AND comfortable for under 500. Any suggestions?

It looks great. If all else fails, you could always go get one of those rockers they always have out front of Cracker Barrel. They are around $150. Then make super comfy cushions that match the room.
i am on the lookout for a nice rocker too. there are a few of them out by the neighborhood old folks home, i keep driving by hoping to get a closer peek at them but they are always occupied by cute little old ladies rocking away!

I love my super soft and comfy upholstered rocking/swivel armchair so much. We found it at babiesrus- looks exactly like the ones from pottery barn, however much cheaper. Get one that you will be comfortable falling asleep in- believe me, you will be doing a lot of that during those late night feeding sessions. As much as I hated returning the beautiful Eames rocker Mike gave me, I was relieved to have that super comfy chair in the end...

The nursery looks just perfect! I can't wait to see the finished mural. Sorry I'm no help with the rocker, I had one and I never used it. (But it was wooden and hard and uncomfortable, so that's probably why.)

Mike got that Eames rocker from modern seed for me before Henry arrived, and it was the most uncomfortable chair ever. And it was a bitch to return. we are talking $$$$$$$$$$ Don't fall in to the 'but it looks so good' trap.
I love the comfy chair in the H-bomb's room. You sort of melt into it and rock! semi-stylish too.
