Well, really it's been 8 years if you include the time we were dating and ahem, shacking up. Sorry Gammy, I know you just rolled over in your grave.
It's been the best 8 years of my life though the last two have been the most challenging. Rearing a child has created arguments I didn't know were possible, but all in the best interest of the greatest love of our lives, so I guess it's been worth it.

We celebrated the actual date over a sushi lunch, where we exchanged gifts. For me - a beautiful necklace. For him - Green Porno. He became very excited when I gave him the wrapped gift while asking him to be discreet while opening in a public place. I told him it was porn, but failed to mention it involved Isabella Rossellini and the mating habits of marine life.
I later surprised him with a getaway to Richmond and an overnight stay at the luxurious Berkeley Hotel in Shockoe Bottom. I highly recommend it.

We ate dinner in Cary Town, caught a burlesque show at the Canal Club, and topped the night off with some live bossa nova and mojitos at Dora's Brazilian Grill. Made an early dash for a quick breakfast at The Urban Farmhouse, which had the best egg, basil and mozzarella sandwich.

I forget we have such a vibrant city just over an hour away and we're vowing to go at least once every two months.
Alrighty, my friends. Who's going with me on my next trip to Richmond?
