manic monday: home alone

Bobby camped out at the recording studio this weekend recording with the band 1888, so Ave and I had some uninterrupted mother & son bonding time. We made up silly dance moves to The Lion Sleeps Tonight, built numerous block towers with help from his stuffed bunnies, and made little "films" of him playing his "wall of percussive sound" (coming soon) in the kitchen. When we finally became bored, we headed over to my parents' house for some more entertainment and...

...some gardening lessons from Nanny,

and ice cream with Pop Pop.

Times like these make me so grateful we live near both sets of grandparents. What a lucky little guy!

And for complete disclosure, there were many times like this...

...and plenty of these, but I wouldn't trade these moments for the world.
