A step in the right direction
I've decided to take a different approach this year. I do really well meeting short deadlines, but given a year to accomplish a task, I will procrastinate until the very last month and quickly talk myself out of it due to lack of time.
I'm sure you can relate.
So really, the resolutions haven't changed – just my approach on achieving the desired result. Breaking the goals into a series of short tasks over a period of time seems like a reasonable solution, right? For instance, EAT WELL will start with drinking a large glass of water everyday at my desk for the first two weeks and then gradually will include sugar reduction and the addition of healthier options. In fact, I just drank my first glass of water to wash down the swedish fish I just demolished.
I just need a trusty calendar to keep me on track and a conscience to hold me accountable. Hmm...
2012 is going to be the year of change, folks. And change gives me panic attacks.
